Promotional Writing 133—that's where it all began. The class met every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:45 (yikes, right?). Yet somehow, I was riveted.
The professor for the class was a creative director at a local agency. Throughout the semester, he assigned "accounts" and scenarios. At one point, he asked me to write 100 headline options for a "fickle" client. It was the most thrilling, frustrating, and rewarding assignment I'd ever had. And probably the reason I chose this crazy career.
